The Wait Is Over

The past few weeks have been a doozy! I really couldn't think a better word than doozy.. it just fits.

I've been finishing up the school year with my precious students, organizing/packing my room, and attempting to find a job.

My emotions have been up and down and all around. Do all teachers feel like this at the end of the year or is it just me? It can't be just me.

So worn out, but excited, but you can't wait for summer, but wait I don't have a job next year so I'm scared, do I really want to leave my school?

See.. all over the place!

But it is all over.

I said good bye to my students yesterday. It was hard. Really hard. They were my first class and they taught me probably as much as I taught them. What a year! I will truly miss them and I wish them the best!

Today we had our faculty luncheon and I said good bye to my supportive, amazing, intelligent, kind staff. I don't know if I'll find a staff as kind as the one I just left. I'm so glad I got a chance to work with all of them.

And for that new job thing..

I have one! I have a new job!!!

I have been majorly stressed about this job search thing. It makes me loose my appetite, I haven't been eating properly, I become a complete mess when the future is unclear.

I had my interview Wednesday for the position and it went well. I was happy, they were happy.

I had a second phone interview this morning and then they offered me the position today as well. AHHHH!!! I don't know what to do because I am so surprised/relieved/my body isn't able to comprehend what emotion it should be feeling since I've been confusing it so much lately. AHH!!

It is for second grade and only 5 miles away from my boyfriends school. Perfect!!!!! I cannot wait to start planning and getting prepare.

Everything is falling into place and can't wait to share how the end of the year went with my first graders and what I'm going to start planning for my second graders! SO EXCITED!!! Yes, caps really are necessary!

PS. Summer vacation has officially started & is looking so bright!!
